Ex Cinema Teatro Eden - Galleria Vittorio Emanuele

Former Eden cinema theatre - Galleria Vittorio Emanuele:

This original example of an early 20th-century shopping arcade was built by Antonio Lavarini, and inaugurated in 1912 as a theatrical playhouse and cinema. The façade is decorated with an elaborate system of wrought iron and glass, produced by assembling elements made at the famous Michelucci Foundry. It operated as the Cinema-Teatro Eden until 1986. In the 1990s the cinema was torn out and the interior completely refurbished and turned into a shopping centre. The façade was also restored along with Ugo Casanova's pictorial decorations.
